POPs have been banned under the Agropesticide
Act and the Environmental Agent Control
Act. Under the Toxic Chemical Substances Control
Act, Taiwan EPA has listed ten substances as announced
toxic chemical substances, thus are strictly banned
from manufacturing, importation, selling or using
unless specifically for lab testing, research and
educational purposes, namely PCBs, Chlordane, DDT,
Dieldrin, Toxaphene, Endrin, Heptachlor, Adrin,
Lindane, Hexachlorobenzene. |

the Promotion of Environmentally Sound Destruction
of PCB Wastes which was enacted in June, 2001, stated
